Feng shui, an indispensable part of traditional Chinese culture, is deeply rooted in China and closely linked to various fields such as history, philosophy, art, and folklore. From ancient palace architecture to ordinary residential villages, and from the selection of imperial cemetery sites to the layout of folk houses, the concepts and principles of feng shui are consistently applied. Ancient Chinese capital cities like Xi'an and Beijing strictly adhered to feng shui theories in their construction. Take the Forbidden City in Beijing as an example; its overall layout follows the idea of "harmony between man and nature," skillfully integrating palace architecture with the natural environment based on feng shui principles, forming a rigorous and symmetrical, majestic layout. The central axis of the Forbidden City runs north to south, symbolizing the central axis between heaven and earth, embodying the supremacy of imperial power. Meanwhile, the landscape around the Forbidden City has been meticulously planned, forming the so-called "Four Symbols" layout, namely, the Azure Dragon (east water system), the White Tiger (west road or building), the Red Bird (south plaza or open space), and the Black Turtle (north Jingshan Hill), to achieve yin-yang balance and qi harmony. These buildings are not only artistic treasures but also physical witnesses of feng shui culture. In modern cities, feng shui plays a crucial role. A company in a bustling business district facing poor performance sought my help. Upon arrival, I noticed a main road causing a "road rush" feng shui issue and a dim, chaotic office layout blocking qi flow. I suggested installing a feng shui fountain to counteract the road rush, brightening corridors with lights and plants, and redesigning the layout for better qi circulation. After these adjustments, the company's atmosphere improved, boosting morale and performance. Within months, they secured key projects and flourished. This experience highlighted feng shui's impact in modern life, bringing positive changes through environmental adjustments.
Feng shui is closely linked to both the environment and personal fate. I once helped a young man struggling with career and relationship setbacks. Analyzing his Bazi (Eight Characters) and the feng shui of his home, I found it was in a low-lying area surrounded by tall buildings, making it dark, damp, and oppressive. This feng shui negatively impacted his luck. I advised him to move and found a brighter, well-ventilated home with a beautiful surrounding, compatible with his Bazi. After moving, his life improved: he met mentors at work, his career flourished, and he found love. This case demonstrates how feng shui can transform one's fate, like a key unlocking a door to a better future
In my many years of feng shui practice, I have witnessed countless stories of change brought about by feng shui. These stories convince me that feng shui is real and contains a mysterious and powerful force capable of influencing our lives, destinies, and futures. Of course, we should also approach feng shui rationally. Feng shui culture, passed down for thousands of years, carries the wisdom and experience of countless ancestors. As a feng shui consultant, I feel a great responsibility to transmit this culture. Therefore, I created this platform, hoping to integrate feng shui culture into the world and make its unique energy accessible to all. In my view, feng shui is not superstition but an ancient discipline that combines knowledge from natural science, environmental science, psychology, and more
